Baby Ducks (6 mos. to 3 yrs. - group of six) (Select BD in drop-down menu, above.)
A parent and child class designed to gently introduce babies to breath control while submerging underwater. This class also teaches the parent how to work with their child through water adjustment, safety and enjoyment.
ONLY APPROVED PERMANENT SWIM DIAPERS ARE ALLOWED IN OUR POOL. Our store carries an assortment of styles and sizes at reasonable prices.
Little FINS (2-4 yrs. - semi private) (Select LF in drop-down menu, above.)
Instruction is designed for a child who has developed a fear of water through a bad water experience or who has difficulty with parent separation anxiety. The class will teach children that the water can be fun and safe by using toys, stories, and water safety rules.
Red FINS (5-8 yrs. school & 9-13 yrs, junior semi private) (Select RF in drop-down menu, above.)
Similar approach as Little FINS, but geared for older students.
Angel FINS (2-4 yrs. semi private) (Select AF in drop-down menu, above.)
A young beginner class for children who are ready to learn the first steps of swimming. They will be taught breath control, front and back float, front crawl (beginning freestyle), elementary backstroke, and safe pool entry.
Blue FINS (5-8 yrs. school & 9-13 yrs. junior group of 3-4) (Select BF in drop-down menu, above.)
Similar approach as Angel FINS, but geared for older students.
Silver FINS (4-8 yrs. school & 9-13 yrs. junior group of 4-5) (Select SF in drop-down menu, above.)
A class designed for a child who can swim freestyle for 10 ft., float on their back without assistance, and swim 10 ft. on their back. They will be shown how to breathe to the side with freestyle, proper form for backstroke, and how to push start from the wall.
Gold FINS (5-8 yrs. school & 9-13 yrs. junior group of 4-5) (Select GF in drop-down menu, above.)
A more advanced class for students who are swimming 40 feet of freestyle and back stroke, and interested in learning the beginning steps of butterfly and breaststroke, while continuing to advance their freestyle and backstroke skills.
Dolphin FINS (5-8 yrs. school & 9-13 yrs. junior group of 4-5) (Select DF in drop-down menu, above.)
This class is for swimmers who have completed the Gold FINS level and are ready to learn the complete strokes of butterfly and breaststroke. They will continue to work on the freestyle and backstroke with the use of more advanced drills.
Quick FINS (20 minute private) (Select QF in drop-down menu, above.)
This class is used for special needs students, students who have water anxiety issues, or for individuals with limited time.
Cadillac FINS 1 (adult semi private) (Select CF-1 in drop-down menu, above.)
This class is for the beginner adult who has a fear of water that has limited their swimming progression. Emphasis in this class will be to overcome the fear and learn freestyle and backstroke.
Cadillac FINS 2 (adult semi private) (Select CF-2 in drop-down menu, above.)
This class is for the more advanced adult who has had previous swimming experience and wants to enhance their swimming skills. The adults at this level will learn more efficient ways to swim, through the use of advanced drill and skill sets. Developing freestyle and backstroke skills will be the primary focus of this class, with a limited exposure to the other swimming strokes and the skills associated with them.
Fast FINS
Our Fast Fins classes are designed for competitive swimmers and are taught by the senior coaches or instructors. Most classes are taught from the deck while the students perform the various competitive stroke drills and learn what is expected from an athlete in a team setting.
Please see the following descriptions for each of the Fast Fins levels:
Fast FINS - Bronze Level (group of 8) (Select FF-Bronze in drop-down menu, above.)
Participants must have completed the GF level. Freestyle, backstroke, and an introduction to butterfly, breaststroke and flip turns will be taught. 45-minute class.
Fast FINS - Silver Level (group of 12) (Select FF-Silver in drop-down menu, above.)
Participants must have completed the DF level. More advanced freestyle and backstroke drills and skill sets are taught. Butterfly and breaststroke skills are advanced. Freestyle and backstroke flip turns, and butterfly and breaststroke open turns and underwater skills are emphasized.
Fast FINS - Gold Level (group of 16) (Select FF-Gold in drop-down menu, above.)
Participants must be USA or high school swimmer. Advanced drill and skill sets are used in these classes, with major emphasis on technique, speed and race strategy for the four competitive strokes.
PART 4 - Waiver of Liability and FINS Policy/Procedures Agreement
By act of submitting this electronic registration form, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to all policies in the FINS (Fun IN Swimming, Inc.) program materials, and assume all liability for my children and myself without regard to fault while participating in the FINS swim programs. I further acknowledge that I will carefully monitor my child's health so as not to participate when contagious with infection and I will remain on premises during any of my minor children's lessons and contact FINS with reasonable notice (24 hours or more, if possible) in the event we are unable to attend class.
